After Obama finished his victory speech in Columbia, Hillary popped up on stage in Nashville, TN giving what was basically her tried-and-true stump speech during a previously scheduled town hall event at Tennessee State University. Barely a peep about South Carolina and her mighty loss outside of a mild congratulatory remark toward Sen. Obama and thanks to the “people of South Carolina.”

However, she did bring up her plan to move on to Feb. 5 and Super Tuesday, and did get in a subtle jab at Obama’s African American-fueled win in the Palmetto State. That’s the theme from her, Bill, and staffers surrogates, and will be for the rest of the campaign through the 5th.

“It’s wonderful to have such a broad cross-section of people across this state who are fighting with us for a new future for America.

I want to congratulate Senator Obama tonight and I want to also thank the people of South Carolina for welcoming us into their homes and their communities. And I want to tell you how excited I am that now the eyes of the country turn to Tennessee and the other states that’ll be voting on February 5th and, of course, to the state of Florida that will be voting on Tuesday.

So millions and millions of Americans are going to have the chance to have their voices heard and their votes counted, and I can’t imagine anyplace I’d rather be than right here in Nashville as we kick off the next 10 days.”
