Obama adding delegates

The Texas primary is is over and done - completed on March 4th, to be exact. But the Lonestar State has such a convoluted process for determining final delegate tallies from the initial contest that changes are still occurring.
A weekend caucus in Texas was the second step toward finalizing the totals. Being a caucus, the […]

Obama hot and heavy on PA TV

The Pennsylvania primary is more than three weeks away, but that isn’t stopping the Obama campaign from unleashing a torrent of TV advertising in nearly every Keystone State market. They have been releasing ads for PA in a trickle over the past week or so but now they’re going all out in a effort to […]

The Buzz

The battle for Pennsylvania has taken center stage in the Democratic race - though it’s laughable for anyone to say that the Keystone State will decide anything. It’s important, but only a stunning comeback from Obama will give it any overwhelming significance. Still, the candidates are pulling out all the stops in their Penn. efforts. […]

New Dem national/general poll

A new WSJ/NBC News poll released today has national numbers for the Democratic race and results of head-to-head general match-ups.
Most interesting news out of the poll is the minor boost Obama has received following his speech on race and confronting the Wright scandal. Seems folks give him more credit for it than one might think […]

The “Muslim option”?

Just a quick late-night thought here: Could the “Tonya Harding option” discussed by ABC’s Taper be the introduction by the Clinton campaign of the online and right wing whispers that Obama is really a Muslim (they’ve already noted anti-Obama accusations in the uber-right American Spectator today)? Will the Barack-is-Muslim grass roots campaign become fair game […]

It’s not over: Hillary brings up Rev. Wright

In a clear attempt to deflect attention away from her own embarrassing gaffe concerning the infamous ‘96 Bosnia trip, Hillary mouths off on a seemingly dead issue - the controversy over Obama’s relationship with Jeremiah Wright. It’s politically savvy, but adds another nail to the potential Dem coffin in November. We’re obviously nowhere close to […]

New Hillary ad: On TV in Penn.

The first wave of ads has hit Pennsylvania ads before their April primary. Hillary is up in the Keystone State today with a relatively bland ad that fails to even mention Obama. It’s aimed more at McCain and the GOP, talking about special interests and “unfair tax breaks.”
The spot is titled “Level.”

Hillary: She “misspoke,” made a “misstatement”

With her tall tale of running from “sniper fire” across a Bosnian tarmac in 1996 crumbling around her and her campaign team, Hillary did the right thing and made a half-apology for the snafu. She also did the politically savvy thing and played down the entire affair (after this became the centerpiece of her “experience” […]

The Buzz

Some glimmer of hope for Hillary and her supporters? After a rather brusque put-down from VandeHei and Allen in Politico over the weekend (an article that basically said that HRC has no chance to win and is being carried along only by an adoring media), Nagourney of the NY Times reminds us that there is […]
