All that is fine, all I'm saying is I'm concerned that Obama isn't being specific about how much exactly he is going to cool the earth.

And what assurances do we have that he won't cool the earth really well in places like Kenya and Hawaii, where he has sentimental ties, and neglect places like Arizona and Florida, where our air conditioning bills are really high in the summer?

And while we're at it, another thing: when the new Gas-free Technology Obama Cars appear so we don't need petroleum products anymore, what are we supposed to do with the cars we have now? I've got three more years worth of payments on my vehicle--is there going to be some sort of government trade-in bureau so we can pick up our new Gas Free Obama models?

I need answers to these questions. I'm just a working stiff who wants to make sure my vote counts. Unlike you, marianne, I don't have a steady stream of romance novel royalty checks to fall back on.

If you have cable, you could have seen Obama and his Followers (the Obamicans) walk on water the last six months against Mrs. Clinton....

Here is what the Democrats have to offer:

"Senator Obama chose to hit Mr. McCain directly in his statement on the job losses: Our economy has now shed 438,000 jobs over the past six months, while workers’ wages fail to keep pace with the skyrocketing cost of gas, groceries and healthcare. The American people are paying the price for the failed economic policies of the past eight years, and we can’t afford four more years of more of the same. That is the essential issue of this campaign because Senator McCain has fully embraced the Bush economic agenda. I believe it has to change.

That’s why I’m calling on Congress and the president to enact real, immediate relief with energy rebates for working families this summer, a fund to help families avoid foreclosure, extended benefits for the long-term jobless, and assistance to states that have been hard-hit by the economic downturn.

As President, I’ll move us in a new direction with policies to restore broad-based, bottom up growth that benefits all Americans. I will provide working families with a middle-class tax cut; fight for affordable health care and college tuition; work to help raise workers’ wages, and invest in infrastructure, education and a clean energy future to create millions of new jobs. That’s the change the American people need.”

Here what the Republicans have to offer:

John: Cindy, I need a cool million or so to run my presidential campaign.

Cindy: I know my darling, but do I really look fat in this Christian Dior dress?

John: No, sweetie, you're so pretty....and rich!

Cindy: Am I more pretty, than rich?

John: Yes, you are so BEAUTIFUL, how many times do I have say it...... please, I am running for POTUS, you know….

Cindy: More pretty than your mangled up ex?

John: Oh, believe me, my little princess, you really are a Diamond in the rust.....

You are right, I guess I'm just disappointed. I thought The Lord and Savior was special.

He's still going to cool the earth, isn't he? But not too much in the north, like Ohio and Michigan, right, because our heating bills are already murder?

How much is he going to cool the earth, anyway?

Yes, two wrongs don't make a right (Wright) but if we ALL had to be accountable for everyone else's words and actions, NO ONE would be elected to the WH and Congress. Obama may have shown some poor judgment when it comes to selecting 'friends' in Chicago, but give me a break, I'm sure we have all had brushes with people who were/are less than stellar in their communities.

You're right, marianne, allegations of Obama the Muslim should be the least of his worries.

He spent 20 years in a hate-filled socialist racist church to prove he was a Christian, for political reasons. Then, as soon as the nature of the church came to light, he pretended to be Shocked! Shocked! He looked into the cameras of three different networks and lied about knowing about any of it, then ditched the church as soon as politically convenient.

Wait till the coverage of his relationship with Tony Rezko gets further coverage. In return for massive political contributions (and apparently a sweet deal on some land for his own private residence) Obama directed millions towards Rezko so he could develop a rat-filled public housing developement, keep huge sums of money, dump management responsibilities, stiff the residents, and move on.

Rezko is clearly a criminal, and has been convicted as such. Has Obama ever initiated legal proceedings or investigations against him, seeing as how Rezko ripped off taxpayers and the people Obama was supposed to be representing?

Obama's not a Muslim. He's a crook.

The recent slime attack by Weasley Clark is an obvious smear tactic aimed at McCain by the Obama campaign. Just a classic bad guy/good guy deal, where Obama once again gets to feign character and integrity and to pretend he is above small-minded politics.

Why is the Obama campaign so paranoid and defensive about the subject of Obama's Muslim background? Why send the goons out to remove a couple of Muslim supporters with head scarves from camera range? Why cancel the Keith Ellison deal? And why don't we ever see Obama with a dog?

A spontaneous looking ad with Obama and a couple golden retrievers in a meadow, dogs cavorting and licking his face, would go a long way towards easing voter apprehension regarding the depths of Obama's
Muslim devotion. But the dogs have to lick Obama's face, not the girls; they don't count.

During that time, his loan was about 2 to 3 points lower than market (with all underwriting variables being equal); nonetheless, there are financial privileges to the wealth class that subprime borrowers can only dream about.

To clarify from from the New York Times political section (over the past weekend):

Mr. Obama is a Christian, not a Muslim. Hussein is a family name inherited from a Kenyan father he barely knew, who was born a Muslim and died an atheist. But the name has become a political liability. Some critics on cable television talk shows dwell on it, while others, on blogs or in e-mail messages, use it to falsely assert that Mr. Obama is a Muslim or, more fantastically, a terrorist.
“I am sick of Republicans pronouncing Barack Obama’s name like it was some sort of cuss word,” Mr. Strabone wrote in a manifesto titled “We Are All Hussein” that he posted on his own blog and on dailykos.com.
So like the residents of Billings, Mont., who reacted to a series of anti-Semitic incidents in 1993 with a townwide display of menorahs in their front windows, these supporters are brandishing the name themselves.
“My name is such a vanilla, white-girl American name,” said Ashley Holmes of Indianapolis, who changed her name online “to show how little meaning ‘Hussein’ really has.”
The movement is hardly a mass one, and it has taken place mostly online, the digital equivalent of wearing a button with a clever, attention-getting message. A search revealed hundreds of participants across the country, along with a YouTube video and bumper stickers promoting the idea. Legally changing names is too much hassle, participants say, so they use “Hussein” on Facebook and in blog posts and comments on sites like nytimes.com, dailykos.com and mybarackobama.com, the campaign’s networking site.
New Husseins began to crop up online as far back as last fall. But more joined up in February after a conservative radio host, Bill Cunningham, used Mr. Obama’s middle name three times and disparaged him while introducing Senator John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, at a campaign rally. (Mr. McCain repudiated Mr. Cunningham’s comments).
The practice has been proliferating ever since. In interviews, several Obama supporters said they dreamed up the idea on their own, with no input from the campaign and little knowledge that others shared their thought.
Some said they were inspired by movies, including “Spartacus,” the 1960 epic about a Roman slave whose peers protect him by calling out “I am Spartacus!” to Roman soldiers, and “In and Out,” a 1997 comedy about a gay high school teacher whose students protest his firing by proclaiming that they are all gay as well.
“It’s one of those things that just takes off, because everybody got it right away,” said Stephanie Miller, a left-leaning comedian who blurted out the idea one day during a broadcast of her syndicated radio talk show and repeated it on CNN.
Ms. Miller and her fellow new Husseins are embracing the traditionally Muslim name even as the Obama campaign shies away from Muslim associations. Campaign workers ushered two women in head scarves out of a camera’s range at a rally this month in Detroit. (The campaign has apologized.) Aides canceled a December appearance on behalf of Mr. Obama by Representative Keith Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat and the first Muslim congressman.
